An Overview We've been doing all of our cruising out of Cape
Liberty in New Jersey an easy 2-1/2 drive from home.
We've also fallen into the pattern of doing 3 cruises per
year. Once upon a time we would fly to Florida to get
on a cruise ship but we simply don't want to go through the
air travel, hotel, taxi hassle and
expense.
Symphony of the Seas is one of Royal Caribbean's "Oasis
Class Ships". In other words, one of the big ones.
Her double occupancy capacity is somewhere around of
6,000 passengers (+2,100 crew). Put more than two in a
cabin and the total capacity can reach about 7,000.
As always, I captured a bunch of videos. All are on
YouTube so here are some links....
Mens Room Art I like to get out at 6 in the morning and wander
around the ship before my first cup of coffee. I
couldn't pass up the opportunity to video the art exhibited
in the public men's rooms...
The Boardwalk Inside Balcony
Cabin We like these cabins and got one after a
successful RoyalUP bid...
The Piano Stairs
I found the piano stairs during one of my morning walks...
The Blue Lagoon
Excursion
While in Nassau, we went off on a Blue Lagoon Excursion...
Johnny Rockets
We really enjoy the complementary breakfast available at Johnny
Rockets...
Chilling Out With A Stern View
We like kicking back on the chairs available along the stern
railing...
There Is Art
There is art all over these ships and usually a car in the
Promenade. On Symphony it happens to be a VW Beetle
compressed into a sphere...
