We have been doing THREE
cruises per year out of Cape Liberty in New
Jersey. The way it works, we go on one cruise and
book a cruise for the following year. That keeps
us in the three cruise loop and gets us to sail on all
three ship classes that Royal ports in Cape Liberty.
We chose this cruise because it was 9 days and took us
to places we haven't been to in awhile... Bermuda, St.
Maarten, San Jaun, and Labadee. Unfortunately, the
Labadee stop was cancelled and we ended up in the
Dominican Republic. Labadee is in Haiti and has
been enduring unrest.
We've been on Liberty several times before and, again,
this time had a Promenade View Cabin. We've posted
videos on what these cabins are like so we didn't
include one here.
This time around, I've included links to some "short"
videos for some of the things we saw or did on the
cruise. No lengthy videos covering the entire
trip.
1- One thing we've enjoyed about Liberty is having lunch
at Chops Grill on embarkation day. It's just so
much more relaxing than the chaos in the
Windjammer. It's not free but worth while none the
less.
Anyway, here we were having lunch by a window when a
container ship sailed by on its's way to the
nearby container facility.
2- We spent a day in Bermuda and we took the ferry to
Hamilton where we walked around for awhile and stopped
for something to drink before heading back. I
captured a this sail away time lapse video.
3- While in St. Maarten, we went off on a beach break
excursion to Mullet Bay Beach. The excursion got
us there and back, provided a couple chairs and an
umbrella and about 3 hours at the beach. Just
right for us.
4- We went off on a very informative city tour while in
San Juan. The tour dropped us off near the cruise
terminal where we found a Starbucks.
5- While on the Crown Lounge Sun Deck, we captured some
video of the ever popular pickleball action.
These videos and more can be found on our YouTube
Channel. Take a look...
