The blessings continued for
another year. We've remained healthy and positive
in spite
of the general lack of international travel. Oh yes,
cruising and international travel did resume but, for now,
we decided not to navigate our way through the
restrictions. Instead we focused on getting out and
about locally.
We continued our routine of
getting in the car and going somewhere EVERY DAY. Walk
a trail, walk the mall, visit a different food store, or
simply drive 10-12 miles to Starbucks for one of our
favorite coffees and some Kindle book reading.
We did venture out for a couple
overnight jaunts to two locations we used to visit by
sailboat back in the day.
First was a visit to Annapolis
Maryland where we stayed in the B&B located above Chick
& Ruth's Deli, one of those historic establishments
right on Main Street. Annapolis is steeped in nautical
history and is home to the United States Naval
Academy.
Our second visit was to St.
Michaels on the quiet and peaceful Eastern Shore of the
Chesapeake Bay. We stayed at a centrally located
historic inn, rode The Patriot (check out our “Titanic
Moment”), and visited the Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum.
There were a number of day trip
activities.
We continue experiencing life
with an electric car.
